Read this one before the medicine tracker
This is not medical anything
New Parent Command Center™ is an organizing tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional care. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
The medicine tracker specifically
The medicine tracker records what you type in and shows it back to you. That is all it does.
It does not and will not:
- Calculate a dose
- Recommend, adjust, check, or verify a dose
- Suggest a medicine or a schedule
- Warn about interactions, allergies, contraindications, or overdose
- Interpret a symptom or a reaction
- Give emergency medical guidance
Enter the dose exactly as your pediatrician, your pharmacist, or the product label states it. If those disagree with each other, or with anything on this screen, they are right and this app is wrong. Ask your pharmacist.
The app cannot tell whether what you typed is correct, whether a dose was actually given, or whether it was given twice. Only you can.
Feeding, sleep, diapers, growth
These trackers record parent-entered notes. They are not clinical measurements. Nothing they display is a norm, a target, a benchmark, or a signal. The app never tells you whether anything is normal, because it does not and cannot know. Feeding concerns, sleep concerns, output concerns, rashes, fevers, and anything that worries you go to your pediatrician.
The visit report
The report prints back what you typed, arranged by day. It calculates entry counts and completed-sleep durations from your records. It does not clinically review, correct, or interpret them. It is a convenience for the conversation with your clinician, not a medical record, and your clinician's judgement governs.
The check-in
The parent check-in is not therapy, counseling, treatment, screening, or a diagnostic instrument. It is not the EPDS or any other validated tool, and it is not scored. It asks a few questions and, based on your own answers, offers a one-minute reset or the phone numbers of independent support organizations. That's it.
If you're struggling, a real person is better than any app. Postpartum depression and anxiety are common, treatable, and not your fault.
Emergencies
Never use this app in an emergency. It is not monitored, no one is reading it, and no one is coming. In the United States, call 911. If you or someone else is in crisis, call or text 988.
